CONCERT FOR MIKE'S COLON

Enjoy watching videos that led up to this fundraising event that former bass player Vytis Kezys organized to take place in early spring of 2020 for Mike's colon at his establishment, The Avenue Restaurant & Bar in Glendale, New York. The concert was sadly cancelled due to the pandemic.

Guitarist Mike Jaillon's world was turned inside out in September 2019 when he was misdiagnosed with ulcerative colitis and sent home after a lengthy hospital stay.  Being misdiagnosed led him to contracting Clostridium Difficile, a bacterium that can cause symptoms ranging from explosive diarrhea to life-threatening inflammation of the colon. He was again hospitalized just before Christmas and then his life changed forever when he underwent emergency surgery to have his entire colon removed and use of a colostomy bag commenced. Due to being immobile for so long his blood vessels leaked fluid into his leg tissues and became edematous. He then spent months relearning to walk. His medical insurance did not cover all his costs so a GoFundMe page was officiated by band mate Ed Kezys. The relentless munificence shown by family, friends and fans was heartwarming. Planning for this fundraising concert had then gone into motion and it was stated that Mike would have made his first public appearance at this event to further express his eternal gratitude to his supporters.
